METS ROSTER MOVE - CLAIM GOSUKE KATOH

The New York Mets today announced they have claimed infielder Gosuke Katoh [GOHS-kay ka-toe] off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays. He will be optioned to Triple-A Syracuse. Katoh, 27, made his major league debut on April 9 with the Blue Jays.

Gosuke has played all 4 infield positions, mostly at second base, with also seeing time in LF and RF.  According to FanGraphs he has all 3 Minor League Options available.
