METS ACQUIRE OUTFIELDER DANIEL JOHNSON FROM CLEVELAND

 

FLUSHING, N.Y., May 25, 2022 – The New York Mets today announced the club has acquired minor league outfielder Daniel Johnson from Cleveland in exchange for cash considerations.

 

Johnson, 26, will be assigned to Triple-A Syracuse. He has two doubles, three home runs, 11 RBI, six runs scored in 17 games for Triple-A Columbus this year. The left-handed hitter and thrower appeared in 35 major league games for Cleveland from 2020-2021. Last season, he hit four home runs and drove in five runs in 30 contests.
