Breaking: Verlander to the IL

 

The New York Mets have announced via Twitter that "Justin Verlander will be placed on the IL with a low grade teres major strain. He will continue throwing at moderate intensity and we will rescan in a week. We will provide an update at that time."

Billy Eppler and Justin Verlander spoke to the Media about the injury.  Billy Eppler said that "they are planning on Tylor Megill" to take Justin's spot in the rotation.
