Here are the Brooklyn Cyclone Game Notes for today's game.

The Brooklyn Cyclones (17-7, 45-44) return home to open a six-game homestand against the Wilmington Blue Rocks (8-16, 37-51) — the High-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals — on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. from Maimonides Park on Coney Island in Brooklyn, N.Y. 

RHP Robert Colina (2-2, 3.62 ERA) is scheduled to toe the slab for Brooklyn against Wilmington’s RHP Bryan Cáceres (0-3, 14.18 ERA).

LAST TIME OUT: Brooklyn earned a series victory with a 7-4 come-from-behind triumph at Hudson Valley on Sunday afternoon...Renegades jumped out to a 4-0 lead after 3 innings on a pair of solo home runs by 2B Ben Cowles and a 2-run home run by C Agustin Ramírez...Cyclones tied it in the 4th on a grand slam by DH Omar De Los Santos...Brooklyn jumped in front for good on back-to-back home runs from RF Stanley Consuegra (2-run) and 1B Mateo Gil (solo)...Cyclones’ bullpen combined to throw 6.1-shutout innings...RHP Benito García (2.1 IP), RHP Jace Beck (1.0), RHP Dylan Hall (1.0), RHP Joey Lancellotti (1.0), and RHP Paul Gervase (1.0) united to allow 3 hits and strike out 9...Beck earned his 4th win, while Gervase stranded a pair in the 9th for his 6th save. 

 

WE’RE GOING STREAKING: Brooklyn has won 12-of-16 (.750) and 18-of-25 (.720) going into Tuesday’s series opener...The Cyclones have won 5-consecutive series dating back to June 20-25 vs. Hudson Valley and have not dropped a set since Greenville won 4-of-6 on Coney Island from June 6-11...The Cyclones are 17-7 in the second half and lead the North Division of the SAL by half a game over Aberdeen (16-7)...Brooklyn a half-game behind Hickory (17-6) for the best record in the circuit during the half. 

 

COMEBACK ‘CLONES: Brooklyn earned their 18th come-from-behind victory with a 7-4 win at Hudson Valley on Sunday...The Cyclones matched their largest comeback of the year, erasing a 4-run, 4-0 deficit entering the 4th inning... The Cyclones came from 4 runs down to earn the victory on July 4 vs. Wilmington and on Opening Day, April 7, vs. Jersey Shore...Friday marked the 11th win in their final at-bat with an 8-7 win at Hudson Valley...It was also Brooklyn’s second win in 2023 when trailing after 8 innings.
