PRESS RELEASE: METS SIGN NINE MORE DRAFT PICKS

FLUSHING, N.Y., July 19, 2023 – The New York Mets today announced that the club has signed fourth round selection RHP Wyatt Hudepohl (UNC Charlotte), fifth round selection LHP Zach Thornton (Grand Canyon University), 11^th round selection RHP Brett Banks (UNC Wilmington), 13^th round selection RHP Ben Simon (Elon University), 14^th round selection RHP John Valle (Jefferson HS, FL), 15^th round selection RHP Justin Lawson (NC State), 16^th round selection 3B Jake Zitella (St. Charles East HS, IL), 17^th round selection RHP Bryce Jenkins (University of Tennessee) and 20th round selection OF Kellum Clark (Mississippi State).

Additionally, the club has signed non-drafted free agent RHP Dakota Hawkins from Washington State University.

The Mets have signed their first 14 draft picks as well as 20 of their 23 total draft picks.
