For Rylan Thomas, the promotion comes as he has heated up. From recent Brooklyn Cyclones Game Notes:
"THE RHY-T STUFF: In 34 games since July 4 at Wilmington, OF Rhylan Thomas has put up bonkers numbers...He is slashing .360/.435/.456 with a .891 OPS at the dish and a 149 wRC+...Thomas has added 16 runs scored, 5 doubles, 2 home runs, 16 RBI, and 16 walks (12.2 BB%) to only 8 strikeouts (6.1 K%)...Since the start of July, Thomas has led the South Atlantic League in batting average (.350) and has 7 fewer strikeouts (9) than any other batter (min. 135 PA)...He is also 2nd in on-base percentage (.430)."
