The Brooklyn Cyclones (30-21, 58-58) go for a third-consecutive victory against the Asheville Tourists (20-31, 46-66) — the High-A affiliate of the Houston Astros — on Friday at 6:35 p.m. from McCormick Field in Asheville, N.C. 

RHP Joander Suárez (4-9, 5.44 ERA) — who is one strikeout shy from setting a new franchise single-season record — is scheduled to take the hill for Brooklyn against the Astros’ No. 13 prospect per Baseball America, Asheville’s RHP Miguel Ullola (3-6, 6.06 ERA).

LAST TIME OUT: Brooklyn outlasted Asheville in a topsy-turvy, 13-12, 10-inning marathon on Thursday night...Cyclones erased a 4-run deficit, trailing 7-3 after 3 innings...Game featured 3 lead changes from the 7th inning on...Brooklyn went ahead 8-7 in the 7th on a C Kevin Parada 2-run home run...Asheville took the lead, 9-8, in the 8th on a 2-run broken-bat single by CF Jacob Melton...Cyclones went in front, 10-9, on a 2-run knock to left by 3B William Lugo with 2 out in the top of the 9th...Tourists tied it on a 2B Kobe Kato single with 2 out in the bottom half...Brooklyn scored 3 in the top of the 10th to win on a CF Rhylan Thomas single, a C Christian Pregent sacrifice fly, and LF Omar De Los Santos scoring on an attempted double steal of home...Game featured a combined 25 runs and 27 hits with 6 home runs...17-of-19 players that had at least 1 at-bat picked up at least 1 hit in the game.  

LAST TRAIN RUNNING: Brooklyn scored a then-season-high 12 runs in Wednesday's 12-5 victory over Asheville and surpassed it with a 13-run performance in Thursday's 13-12 triumph in 10 frames...The Cyclones' previous high water mark was 11 on 2 separate occasions...Brooklyn bested Wilmington, 11-7, on both July 27 and 30 at Maimonides Park...The 13 runs scored are the most for the 'Clones since they scored 18 runs in an 18-1 win at Jersey Shore on August 28, 2022...RF Stanley Consuegra homered in both Wednesday's contest and the game on 8/28/22...The 25 combined runs over a 2-game period are the most for Brooklyn since scoring 26 between August 27-28, 2022, at Jersey Shore...The Cyclones beat the BlueClaws, 8-3, on August 27, and then throttled Jersey Shore, 18-1, on August 28.
