BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – The Binghamton Rumble Ponies will honor the Deposit-Hancock varsity girls’ softball team prior to the game on Tuesday, August 15, at Mirabito Stadium. The game is scheduled for 6:35 PM against the Portland Sea Dogs (Double-A, Boston Red Sox).
The Lady Eagles captured the Class D New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) state championship on June 10 with a 5-3 win over Scio-Friendship in 13 innings at the Moriches Sports Complex on Long Island.
Deposit-Hancock finished 23-2 in 2023 and infielder/pitcher Kaitlyn Macumber was named the Class D Player of the Year. Macumber, sophomore pitcher/outfielder Addison Makowski and sophomore catcher Amanda Ray all earned All-State First Team honors. Third baseman Sarah Gross was a second team selection and shortstop Pagan Macumber was a third team selection.
Players and coaches will be recognized by Rumble Ponies’ brass on the field before the game.
