The Brooklyn Cyclones (9-8) carry a season-long four-game winning streak on Thursday afternoon against the Wilmington Blue Rocks (11-6) — the High-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals — at 1 p.m. from Maimonides Park on Coney Island in Brooklyn, N.Y.

 

LHP Felipe De La Cruz (0-1, 3.46) is scheduled to take the ball for Brooklyn in game three of the series. Wilmington is projected to counter with RHP Luke Young (1-0, 2.35)

LAST TIME OUT: The Cyclones put up their highest run total of the season in a 13-3 takedown of the Blue Rocks on Wednesday evening...Brooklyn utilized 11 walks en route to the win - five of which came in a seven-run third inning...All nine Cyclones found a way to reach base safely, led by LF Wilfredo Lara and DH Drake Osborn who each logged multi-hit affairs...RHP Douglas Orellana was untouchable out of the 'pen, tossing five innings while not allowing a baserunner...The win pushes Brooklyn's current streak to four games - the longest such streak of the season.
