Mets 2024 Round Seven Draft Pick - 203 Overall - Will Watson

 

With their 7th selection in the 2024 MLB Draft, the Mets have taken Will Watson. RHP, 6'1", 180 pounds, Age 21, DOB: 11/7/2002.

Will pitched last year at USC going 5-2 in 16 games, 9 as a starter, 46 Ks, 27 walks, in 50.1 innings.   

He was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 20th round of the 2023 draft.  Did not sign.

At the time of last year's draft, Lookout Landing noted: "Watson has a fastball that ranges 91-95 and a slider he spins well."
