1/15/25 Mets Roster Moves: Mets claim Austin Warren off Waivers

 

The New York Mets have announced on X that they have claimed RHP Austin Warren off waivers from the San Francisco Giants.  

Warren had Tommy John Surgery in 2023 when a member of the Angels.  The Giants signed him last Winter and he also spent time on the IL in 2024.  He split time last year with the Giants and minor leagues appearing in 6 games, 10.2 innings, 1.69 ERA, 1.313 WHIP, 9 hits, 1 HR, 5 walks, 7 Ks.

According to FanGraphs, he still has a minor league option left.
