NY Post: Edwin DÃaz thinks his Mets spring is ‘going in the right direction’ despite key issue to solve. "While some scouts want to see DÃaz keep his delivery consistent before they’re ready to say he’s back, the 30-year-old believes the adjustments he made a year ago — and was able to institute in the middle of his outing on Sunday — give him faith that he’s back."
NY Post: Luis Torrens is up for his unexpected Mets challenge. “This is a great opportunity for me to be able to go out there every day and try to help this team win, try to keep those expectations high for the team and when [Alvarez] comes back, the plan is to leave this team in a good position,” Torrens said through an interpreter. Torrens added that the relationship he built with many of the pitchers last season provides him with a certain comfort level."
NY Post: Darryl Strawberry sees clear reason why Juan Soto made right choice picking Mets over Yankees. “It was good for him to make the decision to play here because now he’s not going to be behind anybody,’’ Strawberry said. “Juan Soto with the Mets, yeah, you have [Francisco] Lindor, who’s great, but if you play over there [with the Yankees] with a guy like [Aaron] Judge, you’re never gonna be bigger than him.”
