The Brooklyn Cyclones (10-5) continue their two-week road trip, starting a six-game series against the Jersey Shore BlueClaws (5-10) — the High-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies — on Tuesday at 6:35 p.m. from ShoreTown Ballpark in Lakewood, N.J.

 

RHP Noah Hall (1-1, 1.23) is scheduled to make the start for the Cyclones. The BlueClaws are projected to counter with RHP Casey Steward (1-2, 2.57).

THIS DATE IN CYCLONES HISTORY: On April 22, 2022, DH Rowdey Jordan went 4-for-5 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI in Brooklyn's 6-4 win at Hudson Valley...1B JT Schwartz added 2 knocks and reached base 3 times...RHPs José Chacín (3.2 IP), Sammy Tavárez (0.1), and Oscar Rojas (5.0) combined to strike out 14 hitters...In 2023, LF Alex Ramírez delivered a walk-off RBI single in the 11th to defeat Wilmington at home, 3-2...1B Joe Suozzi provided with a game-tying double in the 8th and a single in the 10th.

 

REMEMBER ME?: Jersey Shore and Brooklyn each have players who participated in contests for the other team in 2024...OF Troy Schreffler Jr. spent parts of the 2023 and the entire 2024 season with the BlueClaws...In 101 games for Jersey Shore over 2 seasons, the Harrisburg, Pa. native hit .221/.310/.372/.682 with 8 home runs, 45 RBI, and 32 stolen bases...Schreffler Jr. is currently on the Cyclones' Development List...RHP Josh Hejka was a member of Brooklyn in 4 different campaigns (2019; 2021-22; 2024)...The 28-year-old holds the record for most pitching appearances (63) in Cyclones history...In those contests, Hejka went 6-3 with a 2.41 ERA (28 ER in 104.2 IP), 8 saves, 25 walks, and 95 strikeouts...Both Schreffler Jr. and Hejka were acquired by the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies, respectively, via trade during Spring Training.
