  • The Mets 1-4 hitters each recorded at least one RBI for the first time in a game this season...Courtesy of Elias.
  • Move to 17-23 all-time on Easter.
  • Improve to 9-1 at home this year, tied for the second-best start to a season at home in franchise history (also: 10-0 in 2015 and 9-1 in 1986)...The Mets have posted a 2.00 ERA at home this year which is the best mark through 10 home games in Citi Field history and is tied with the 1976 Mets for the fourth-lowest ERA through 10 home games in franchise history (also: 1.47 ERA in 1971, 1.63 ERA in 1986, and 1.85 ERA in 1985).
  • New York pitchers have totaled 211 strikeouts this year, which is tied with the 2024 Mets for the fifth-most strikeouts through the team’s first 22 games in franchise history...Trails only the 2018 (228K), 2021 (226K), 2017 (223K) and 2022 (219K).

Francisco Lindor:

  • Hit a lead-off homer...It was his second lead-off home run of the season (also: 4/8 vs. MIA) and the 22nd of his career...He is batting .450 (9-20) with three doubles and two home runs as the first batter of the game and he leads the majors in extra-base hits as the first batter of the game...Is one of nine players in the majors with multiple lead-off homers this season...Has homered in two of his last three games after he had only one in his first 18 games of the season.
  • Hit an infield single in the seventh inning as a right-handed batter...It was his first hit from the right side this season, snapping an 0-13 skid.

Brandon Nimmo:

  • Hit a go-ahead single in the seventh inning to give the Mets a 4-3 lead...It was his first RBI in his last eight games and broke a streak of 31 at-bats without an RBI.

Luisangel Acuña:

  • Singled in the fourth inning to extend his hitting streak to a career-high eight games...Has hit .364/.417/.500 (11-28) with eight runs scored, four doubles, one RBI, three walks and five stolen bases in the stretch (since April 8)...Also has posted a .987 OPS in that span.

Clay Holmes:

  • Gave up one run over 6.0 innings...It was his longest outing of the season and it tied a career high (also: 6.0 IP on July 14, 2018 vs. Milwaukee with Pittsburgh)...He also threw a career-high 91 pitches (previous: 90 on April 14, 2025 at Minnesota).

 José Buttó:

  • Earned the win and pitched 1.1 scoreless innings in relief...Has pitched four or more outs in each of his seven appearances this season, which are the most among major league relievers.

Tyrone Taylor:

  • Flared an RBI double to right field in the eighth inning...It was his first double of the season and his third extra-base hit of the year...It was the 22nd time in his career that he has posted extra-base hits on back-to-back games.

Pete Alonso:

  • Singled home a run in the fifth inning to increase the Mets lead to 3-0...It was his 24th RBI of the season which is the second-most in the majors and the most in the NL.
  • Has 24 RBI this season, joining Jeff Kent (26 RBI in 1994) as the only players in franchise history to record as many RBI through the team’s first 22 games.

Brian Joura Mets360: "Clay Holmes had his best game as a Met, pitching six innings for the first time. He allowed just one run in the game, one that wouldn’t have scored without a wild pitch. He lowered his ERA to 3.16 for the year. He left with a 3-1 lead but did not factor into the decision."

NY Post: Juan Soto, Mets stars’ bats overcome bullpen slipupto complete four-game sweep of Cardinals. “On Sunday, they got another encouraging start from Clay Holmes and, after a rare slipup from the bullpen cost them the lead in the seventh, the lineup delivered again…Brandon Nimmo, who earlier in the game robbed a potential two-run homer in left, hit a go-ahead single in the bottom of the seventh before the Mets added three more runs in the eighth…The rally in the eighth was capped by a Juan Soto two-run double to left-center, one of several signs over the past few days that Soto and the Mets believe he’s ready to break out after a slow start to his Queens tenure.”

NY Post: Francisco Alvarez, Jeff McNeil will be reevaluatedby Mets on Monday. “Francisco Alvarez and Jeff McNeil both played minor league rehab games Sunday and are due to be at Citi Field on Monday to be reevaluated. After that, they are likely to continue to get minor league at-bats before returning to the Mets, according to Carlos Mendoza….Mendoza said Alvarez might get some at-bats at Triple-A Syracuse to make sure his timing is right at the plate.”

Tim Healey Newsday Mets OF Brandon Nimmo's big day leads club to 4-game sweep of Cardinals. “In the top of the sixth, [Nimmo] made a leaping catch at the leftfield wall, robbing the Cardinals’ Jordan Walker of a home run and ending Holmes’ best outing yet on a high note. In the bottom of the seventh, with the Mets in a freshly tied 3-3 game, Nimmo sent a ground ball hard up the middle for the go-ahead hit against former Mets reliever Phil Maton.”

Although he breaks his bat on the swing, Ike Davis becomes the first major leaguer to hit a grand slam for two different teams in April when he homers off Mike Leake, helping the Pirates defeat the Reds, 6-5, at PNC Park. Before being traded by the Mets to Pittsburgh earlier in the month, the 27 year-old first baseman went deep against another Cincinnati hurler, J.J. Hoover, for a walk-off slam in the bottom of the ninth at Citi Field.
