5/4/25: Mets Roster Moves - Blade Tidwell to 40 Man Roster, Dakota Hawkins to Binghamton

 

The New York Mets have announced the following roster moves:

RHP Blade Tidwell has been selected to the Major League roster. He will wear 40.  LHP Danny Young has been transferred to the 60-Day Injured List  RHP Austin Warren has been optioned to Triple-A and appointed as 27th Player for both doubleheader games.

RHP Dakota Hawkins - Transferred from A+ Brooklyn to AA Binghamton.

OF Rafael Ortega placed on Syracuse's 7-day Injured List 

IF Diego Castillo activated off Syracuse's Development List

IF Luis De Los Santos activated off Syracuse's 7-day Injured List

RHP Chris Devenski optioned from New York and activated by Syracuse today

LHP Brandon Waddell optioned from New York and activated by Syracuse today

Dedniel Núñez is in St. Louis and expects to be active for Game 2 of today's doubleheader. (The Mets can option Blade Tidwell following Game 1.)

Núñez says he feels physically strong after five weeks in the minors and is "proud" to be back with the Mets.

News: Doctors have officially recommended Tommy John surgery for Mets left-hander Danny Young. Assuming he opts to go that route, Young will be out for the year.
