The Brooklyn Cyclones (32-15) continue a six-game homestand against the Aberdeen IronBirds (19-28) — the High-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles — on Thursday evening at 6:40 p.m. from Maimonides Park on Coney Island in Brooklyn, N.Y.
RHP Frankie Montas (0-0, 13.50) is scheduled to start to make his second Major League rehab start for the Cyclones. The IronBirds are projected to counter with LHP Riley Cooper (0-2, 4.43)

LAST TIME OUT: Brooklyn had its way with Aberdeen, yet again, on Wednesday, securing their largest comeback victory of the season in a 6-4 win...Through 3 innings, Aberdeen led 4-0, before the Cyclones went on to rattle off 6 unanswered runs, thanks to 4 runs in the 4th and 2 more in the 7th...The win marks Brooklyn's 9th straight home victory... Brooklyn relievers combined for six innings of one-hit ball. RHP Cristofer Gómez dazzled in his High-A debut, while also giving Brooklyn great length...Gomez struck out six and allowed just 1 hit over 3.0-plus scoreless frames. RHPs Saúl GarcÃa and Raimon Gómez took it the rest of the way, earning the win and save, respectively...All told, Brooklyn arms struck out a combined 16 IronBird batters.
REHAB REPORT: The Cyclones have a pair of rehabbers on their current roster...RHP Frankie Montas is scheduled to make his 2nd Major League rehab start on Thursday night vs. Aberdeen on SNY...The 32-year-old is currently on New York's 60-day injured list with a right lat strain...Montas made his 1st start on Saturday at Jersey Shore, allowing 2 runs on 2 hits, walking 2 and striking out 1, over 1.1 innings and 37 pitches...The Dominican native signed a 2-year, $34 million deal with the Mets in December.
THE NUMBER ONE SPOT: The Cyclones are mired in a 3-team race for the South Atlantic League First Half North Division crown...Entering play on Thursday, Brooklyn is 0.5 games back of first-place Greensboro (32-14) and 1.5 games up on third-place Hudson Valley (30-16) with 19 games remaining in the first half...Brooklyn does not play Hudson Valley or Greensboro for the remainder of the half...Greensboro has played one series (April 15-20 vs. Jersey Shore) against a North Division foe and will not play another until the second half (July 1-6 vs./at Aberdeen).
HOME COOKING: Brooklyn continued their dominance at Maimonides Park on Wednesday with a 6-4 victory vs. Aberdeen...A win on Thursday would clinch at the very least a series split on home turf this week...Wednesday's triumph was the Cyclones' 9th-consecutive home win...Entering play on Thursday, Brooklyn holds the best home record in the South Atlantic League at 18-5 (.783)...No one else in the league has more than 15 home victories (Hudson Valley)...The 18 home wins are the most at the High-A level...Miami's Triple-A Jacksonville has recorded the most home wins in Minor League Baseball (21).
