Here are the Brooklyn Cyclone Game Notes for today's game.

The Brooklyn Cyclones (18-10) will wrap up Thursday’s suspended game and play a nine-inning nightcap against the Asheville Tourists (13-16) — the High-A affiliate of the Houston Astros — on Friday starting at 5:30 p.m. from McCormick Field in Asheville, N.C. The second contest will begin no earlier than 6:35 p.m.

 

In the full contest, LHP Jonathan Santucci (0-4, 7.71) — the New York Mets’ No. 12 prospect per MLB Pipeline — is expected to make the start for the Cyclones. The Tourists are projected to counter with RHP Yeriel Santos (0-2, 8.84).

 

Live coverage on the Cyclones Radio Network will begin at 5:15 p.m.

 

LAST TIME OUT: Brooklyn and Asheville had last night's game suspended in the top of the 9th due to rain and lightning...Prior to Friday's 9-inning game, the Cyclones and Tourists will resume Thursday's contest with LF Carson Benge at 1st, 1 out, and an 0-1 count on SS Jesús Báez with the game even at 5...Game 2 will be a 9-inning contest starting no earlier than 6:35 p.m...CF A.J. Ewing tallied 3 hits and 3 stolen bases over the 1st 8 innings of the contest...Benge added 2 hits and reached base 4 times with 2 free passes...2B Jefrey De Los Santos lofted a solo home run to right in the 4th...The contest has featured 4 lead changes and 4 ties...Brooklyn snagged a 5-4 lead with 2 runs in the 7th on singles from Báez and 1B Chris Suero...Asheville tied the contest at 5 on a RF Tyler Whitaker sacrifice fly in the 8th...Thursday marked the Cyclones' first suspended game since August 3, 2024, at Aberdeen...That affair was suspended in the bottom of the 4th and was ultimately called the next day due to rain after Brooklyn loaded the bases in the top of the 8th with Aberdeen leading 4-3.
