Mets: 

  • Defeated Colorado in the second game of their three-game set with an 8-2 victory...Their three hits allowed were tied for their fewest in a game this season...Have won each of their last three series and six of their last seven games...They improve to a season-high 14 games over .500...Are 23-7 at home this season, tied with the 1986 team for the best home start in franchise history...Their home record is also the best in the majors...Are 9-1 in home series this season and 12-6-1 on series for the year...Improve to 14-4 when hitting multiple home runs in a game this season and 8-0 when hitting three or more homers in a game...Also marked their 15th comeback win of the year... All nine starters recorded a hit today...It was the fourth time this season that has happened. 
  • Their 2.55 ERA at home is the sixth-best mark in franchise history through their first 30 home games of the season...Only the ‘21 team (2.15), the ‘85 team (2.23), the ‘76 team (2.35), the ‘71 (2.39), and the ‘68 team (2.41) have better ERA’s through as many home games. 
  • Brandon Nimmo and Juan Soto hit back-to-back home runs in the fourth
  • inning...It marked the first time the Mets have done so this season...The last time the team hit back-to-back homers was September 19, 2024 (B1 - Vientos and Alonso). 
  • Mets runners successfully stole two bases today...They have recorded an 84.6% (44-52) stolen base percentage this season, the second-best in the majors (most: Cubs 86.0%). 
  • Their 36-22 record this season is tied with the 1972 team for the fourth-best start to a season in franchise history, only the 1986 (42-16), 2022 (38-20) and 1988 teams (38-20) had better season-opening records.


Brett Baty: 

  • Hit a go-ahead bases-clearing triple in the first inning...Marked his second triple of the season (also: April 13 at Athletics)...Was his fifth RBI to put the Mets in the lead this season, tied for the fourth-most on the team with Brandon Nimmo (Alonso - 11, Lindor - 10 and Vientos - 9)...Has recorded 16 RBI over 21 games in the month of May. 
  • In 16 starts since being recalled from Triple-A Syracuse on May 5, is hitting .304/.350/.625 (17-56) with 10 runs, one double, one triple, five homers, 16 RBI, three walks, one stolen base, one hit by pitch and a .975 OPS. 
  • At Citi Field this season, has hit .309/.373/.647 (21-68) with 10 extra-base hits and 16 RBI in 25 games.

José Buttó: 

  • Stranded two inherited runners in the seventh inning...Did not allow a hit in 1.2 innings of relief...Has stranded all eight of his inherited runners over his last three outings.

Francisco Lindor: 

  • Reached base in four of his five plate appearances, including a leadoff single...Is hitting .351 (20-57) with eight runs, 10 extra-base hits and five RBI in the first inning this season.

Kodai Senga: 
  • Recorded his sixth win of the season after throwing 6.1 innings of two-hit ball...He struck out five of his first seven batters faced...After allowing a home run to his second batter, retired each of his next 17 batters faced through the sixth inning...Marked his least hits allowed in as long of an outing since August 19, 2023 (7.0 IP, 2 H)...Was his longest outing since April 13 at Athletics (7.0 IP)...Has allowed a home run in back-to-back games for the first time since July 26, 2024 and April 1, 2025.
  • Has recorded 19 wins in his first 40 career games, tied with Jacob deGrom for the second-most in franchise history through as many career games...He trails only Dwight Gooden (23 wins). 
  • His 1.60 ERA is the fifth-lowest through a player’s first 11 starts of a season in franchise history, trailing only Jacob deGrom’s 0.54 ERA in 2021, Jerry Koosman’s 1.42 ERA in 1969, Koosman’s 1.43 ERA in 1968) and deGrom’s 1.52 ERA in 2018. 
  • Has allowed six earned runs in the first inning this season compared to five earned runs in every other inning combined.
  • Has allowed three earned runs or less in 28 consecutive starts, the fourth-longest such streak in franchise history...He trails only Jacob deGrom’s 40 starts (from 9/9/19-9/18/22), deGrom’s 31 starts (from 4/16/18-4/3/19) and Dwight Gooden’s 29 starts (from 9/7/84-8/10/85).
Brandon Nimmo: 
  • Hit his ninth home run of the season, a two-run shot in the fourth inning...The homer had an exit velocity of 109.6, tied for his hardest hit ball of the season...It marked his 119th career home run, passing Ed Kranepool (118) for sole possession of the 14th-most home runs in franchise history...Tallied his 399th and 400th RBI on the longball, passing Rusty Staub (399) for 14th on the franchise list...His two runs scored tied him with Kranepool (536 R) for the ninth-most in franchise history.
  • Has hit safely in each of his last five games after breaking an 0-17 skid...Has recorded multiple hits in three of those five contests.
Jeff McNeil: 
  • Hit a solo home run in the eighth inning to extend the Mets’ lead to 8-2...Was his third home run of the season...Also stole his first base of the season in the fifth inning...Has hit safely in seven of his last 10 games, posting a .895 OPS in that span.
Juan Soto: 
  • Hit his ninth home run of the season on a solo shot in the fourth...Marked his first home run since May 9 vs. Chicago-NL, snapping a 17-game homerless span (tied for the fourth-longest such streak of his career)...Has reached base safely in four of his last seven plate appearances.
