The Brooklyn Cyclones (41-19) continue their homestand against the Asheville Tourists (26-34) — the High-A affiliate of the Houston Astros — on Friday evening at 6:40 p.m. from Maimonides Park on Coney Island in Brooklyn, N.Y.
RHP Will Watson (0-0, 6.75), the New York Mets’ No. 29 prospect per MLB Pipeline, is expected to make the start for the Cyclones. The Tourists are projected to counter with RHP Yeriel Santos (0-6, 9.86).
It will be Pride Night at the ballpark, and the first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a Cyclones’ Pride Skyline Cap.
Live coverage on the Cyclones Radio Network, Bally Sports Live, and MiLB.tv will begin at 6:25 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT: Brooklyn saw its 15-game home winning streak come to a close in front of a TV audience on Thursday night, falling to Asheville, 7-2, in a contest that aired on SNY...Despite the loss, 2B Jesús Báez and RF Eli Serrano III clobbered solo home runs in the victory...Asheville did the majority of its damage in a 4-run top of the 3rd, which included a 3-run home run from 1B Garret Guillemette, who would finish with 4 RBI...RHP Nate Dohm took the defeat for Brooklyn, even though all 4 runs he surrendered were unearned...The loss marks Brooklyn's first at home since May 3 vs. Wilmington
