The Brooklyn Cyclones (38-17) continue a six-game road trip against the Wilmington Blue Rocks (23-32) — the High-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals — on Saturday evening at 6:05 p.m. from Frawley Stadium in Wilmington, Del.

 

RHP Joel Díaz (1-2, 4.08) is scheduled to make the start for the Cyclones. The Blue Rocks are projected to counter with the Nationals’ No. 5 prospect per MLB Pipeline, LHP Alex Clemmey (2-3, 3.15).

LAST TIME OUT: Wilmington scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 1st en route to an 8-2 win over Brooklyn on Friday night...LHP Sean Manaea suffered the loss in his 1st Major League rehab start...The 33-year-old was charged with 4 runs (3 earned) on 4 hits in 1.2 innings, striking out 2 without issuing a walk...RHP Will Watson struck out a career-high 8 in his High-A and Cyclones debut...The Bow, Wash. native surrendered 3 runs on 10 hits over 4.0 innings...RHP Travis Sykora retired the first 13 batters of the game in order for Wilmington...C Ronald Hernandez broke up the shutout with a run-scoring single, and 1B Estarling Mercado added an RBI double...The Cyclones surrendered a season-high 17 hits in the defeat.
