Juan Soto:
- Hit his 10th home run of the season, a solo shot in the eighth inning to extend the Mets’ lead to 5-3…Is the third time this season he has homered in back-to-back games (also: 4/14-15 and 5/7-9)...Has reached base safely in seven of his last eight plate appearances.
- Has recorded at least 10 homers in each of his eight seasons…He is the fourth player to record as many seasons prior to the age of 27 in Major League history, joining Bryce Harper, Mickey Mantle, Mel Ott and Ken Griffey Jr.
Francisco Lindor:
- Hit his team-leading 13th home run of the season, a go-ahead solo shot in the fifth inning…It marked his 123rd home run with the franchise, passing Kevin McReynolds (122) for sole possession of 11th on the all-time franchise list…Was the 261st home run of his career, the 10th-most by a Puerto Rican born player in Major League history…Passed Derek Jeter (260) for sole possession of the fourth-most home runs in Major League history among shortstops (min. 60% career games at SS)...Only Cal Ripken Jr. (431), Miguel Tejada (307) and Hanley RamÃrez (271) have more.
- Has six hits in his last 11 at-bats, including three home runs.
- The Mets have won the last 26 games in which Lindor has homered (dating back to 7/9/24), the longest such streak in franchise history…It is the second-longest such streak in Major League history, trailing only Carl Furillo’s 29 games from 1951-53.
