Mets360: Gut Reaction: Braves 6, Mets 4 (6/6/23) "The first half of the game was great. Innings six thru nine should be erased from existence. The end result was a 6-4 loss to the Braves Tuesday night in Atlanta in the opener of a three-game series."

Mets.com: Lindor, Alonso's blasts can't help Mets overcome late rally. "In the decisive sixth, little things added up. Carrasco couldn't quite finish off Olson to start the inning, getting two strikes before walking him. Austin Riley’s double to left came with help from a questionable throw to third. And reliever Drew Smith got two outs before allowing a Marcell Ozuna double and an Orlando Arcia single that ultimately gave Atlanta the lead."

Metstradamus: It Only Felt Like A Shutout "...the top of the third when Eric Chavez got ejected for arguing balls and strikes, and that was quickly followed by two run HRs by Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso to make the score off of Bryce Elder...From the 4th inning on, they got one hit. After the Braves took the lead, all the Mets got was a baserunner on an Austin Riley error (who was quickly erased on a double play), and a Brandon Nimmo walk in the 8th."

Mets360: Gut Reaction: Mets 11, Padres 5 (6/6/22) "Eduardo Escobar became just the 11th player in Mets history to hit for the cycle, as he drove in six runs and scored three more to lead the Mets to an 11-5 win over the Padres Monday night in San Diego."

Jason Fry Faith and Fear in Flushing: The Grind and the Break "[1st inning] Pete Alonso refused to be baited and walked on five pitches. Canha, in an 0-2 hole, stubbornly resisted expanding the strike zone and walked on six pitches. J.D. Davis...worked out a nine-pitch walk, bringing in a run...Eduardo Escobar slashed an outside changeup to right and the Mets had a 3-0 lead. When the first inning was finally over Snell had faced eight Met hitters and needed 43 pitches to do so."

Metstradamus: Triple Double "Cookie Carrasco continued his excellence, going seven innings while saving the bullpen a bit in the process. He gave up two runs but struck out ten and … once again of utmost importance … didn’t walk anyone."
