Brian Joura Mets360: “The Mets scored in each of their last five innings to earn a 7-6, come-from-behind victory over the Rangers Tuesday night in Texas. It was the seventh-straight win for the Mets and moved them to within two games of .500 at 35-37.”
John Flanigan SNY.TV: "Luis Severino came into the night coming off a strong outing at home against the Marlins...The Rangers jumped on the right-hander for five runs, four of which came on home runs from Josh Smith and rookie Wyatt Langford. He rebounded to retire the next four hitters to close out his outing after 6.1 innings, but the damage was done."
NY Post Mets rally past Rangers for thrilling seventh consecutive win “Francisco Alvarez’s two-run double in the eighth against David Robertson tied it before the Mets (35-37) got an unearned run in the ninth with help from a catcher’s interference by Jonah Heim. The interference with J.D. Martinez at the plate wasn’t initially called, but the Mets challenged and won a replay review. Alonso followed with a double to left that scored Nimmo, who had reached on a walk to begin the rally.”
Tim Healey Newsday: "After the penultimate play of the Mets’ 7-6, come-from-behind win over the Rangers on Tuesday night, Brandon Nimmo practically floated from leftfield to second base. Jose Iglesias had just turned a key double play for the first two outs in the bottom of the ninth...Davis Wendzel, freshly into the game as a pinch runner, slid hard into second — and into Iglesias. The runner’s left knee caught the fielder’s left ankle/foot. Iglesias flipped into the air and hit the ground...Iglesias said. 'When I looked up and I saw Nimmo there, it means the world to me. He’s a great teammate, but that right there was special.'”

Mets.com: Surging offense, spotty pitching lead to 'bad combination' for Mets. "The Mets and Cardinals found themselves in a slugfest on Sunday afternoon at Citi Field. When it was over, St. Louis had powered its way to an 8-7 victory over New York...The score was tied at 7 in the top of the ninth inning with one out when Mets reliever Adam Ottavino watched old pal Nolan Arenado step up to the plate...Ottavino was looking to throw the ball down on the outside part of the plate, but instead he threw the ball down the middle, and Arenado crushed it over the left-field wall to give St. Louis a one-run lead."
KRCGTV.com: Arenado homers twice, Cardinals beat Mets 8-7 to take series. "Nolan Arenado hit two homers Sunday, including a tiebreaking shot in the ninth inning that lifted the St. Louis Cardinals to an 8-7 win over the New York Mets and a rare series win. Arenado hit a two-run homer in the first inning for the Cardinals, who blew an early 5-1 lead..."
