Here are the Brooklyn Cyclone Game Notes for today's game.

The Brooklyn Cyclones (9-8, 55-28) continue their nine-game homestand and six-game series against the Wilmington Blue Rocks (8-8, 38-43) — the High-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals — on Thursday evening at 6:40 p.m. from Maimonides Park on Coney Island in Brooklyn, N.Y.

 

RHP Joel Díaz (4-2, 3.56) is expected to make the start for the Cyclones. The Blue Rocks are projected to counter with RHP Travis Sthele (5-3, 4.30).

 

The Cyclones will play as the Brooklyn Jefes, as part of a Copa de la Diversión Night at the ballpark. The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive an Edwin Díaz Bobblehead.

 

Live coverage on the Cyclones Radio Network, Bally Sports Live, and MiLB.tv will begin at 6:25 p.m.

 

LAST TIME OUT: Brooklyn snatched its first win of the series with a dominant 13-0 Wednesday night victory over Wilmington...The 'Clones set their single-season stolen base franchise record in the win, when 2B A.J. Ewing nabbed the ‘Clones 182nd steal of the year - in just game number 83 - topping the previous high of 181 set by last year’s team...The victory marked Brooklyn's 9th shutout of the season...The 'Clones drew a season-high 11 walks in the win, as 7 of 9 starters recorded at least one hit...Brooklyn scored 4 runs in the 1st and never looked back...RHP Brendan Girton twirled 4.1 innings of scoreless ball, permitting just two hits, while walking one and striking out four... 1B Chris Suero clobbered his 13th home run of the season...It's already the third time this year that Brooklyn has defeated Wilmington by a margin of at least 13 runs.
