Here are the Brooklyn Cyclone Game Notes for today's game.
The Brooklyn Cyclones (11-9, 57-29) wrap up their nine-game homestand and six-game series against the Wilmington Blue Rocks (9-11, 39-46) — the High-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals — on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. from Maimonides Park on Coney Island in Brooklyn, N.Y.
RHP Will Watson (0-1, 2.05), the New York Mets’ No. 29 prospect per MLB Pipeline, is expected to make the start for the Cyclones. The Blue Rocks are projected to counter with the Nationals’ No. 17 farmhand per MLB Pipeline, LHP Jake Bennett (0-2, 2.41).
It will be Italian Heritage Day at the ballpark, and the first 1,000 fans through the gates on Sunday will receive a Retired #5 Jersey giveaway.
Live coverage on the Cyclones Radio Network, Bally Sports Live, and MiLB.tv will begin at 1:45 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT: The Cyclones got back in the win column courtesy of a low-scoring victory on Saturday night, 2-0...The win marked Brooklyn’s 10th shutout on the campaign...RHP Noah Hall put together arguably his best outing of the season, tossing 7.0 shutout frames...The South Carolina product allowed just two hits, walked only one, and struck out four en route to becoming the first Cyclones pitcher to complete 7 innings since RHP Jordany Ventura accomplished the feat on August 2nd, 2023...Hall lowered his ERA on the year to a tidy 2.41...RHP Chandler Marsh sealed the deal on the shutout, recording the final six outs without allowing a hit and walking only one...Offensively, Brooklyn cracked the scoreboard in the 8th, when LF Chris Suero laced an RBI double down the left field line...After stealing 3rd, Suero would come home to score on a sac fly from 3B Colin Houck, providing all the offense Brooklyn would need en route to the win.
