With their 7th round selection, 223 overall, in the 2025 MLB Draft, the Mets have taken RHP Cam Tilly.
Baseball America: "His fastball sits in the 92-94 mph range and will touch 97, while his slider and splitter are his primary swing-and-miss offerings. His slider is a low-80s biting breaking pitch with impressive two-plane movement, while his mid-80s splitter has excellent drop that makes it both an in-zone miss offering and chase pitch...He’s a below-average strike-thrower who likely fits best in the bullpen, but still has the pure stuff to fit inside the first 10 rounds."
