Here are the Brooklyn Cyclone Game Notes for today's game.

The Brooklyn Cyclones (17-​26, 63-46) continue a six-game homestead against the Hub City Spartanburgers (22-21, 53-55) — the High-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers — with a doubleheader on Thursday evening at 5:00 p.m. from Maimonides Park on Coney Island in Brooklyn, N.Y.

 

LHP Franklin Gómez (0-1, 2.16) is expected to make the start for the Cyclones in game one. The Spartanburgers are projected to counter with RHP Aidan Curry (2-1, 4.04).


RHP Noah Hall (5-4, 2.08) is scheduled to take the hill for Brooklyn in game two. Hub City is slated to send LHP Dalton Pence (1-2, 0.99) to the mound.

THIS DATE IN CYCLONES HISTORY: On August 14, 2002, LHP Scott Kazmir, the Mets first-round pick in 2002, made his pro debut with the Cyclones in Aberdeen...The southpaw struck out four and allowed one hit over his 2.0 innings of work...In 2018, OF Ross Adolph earned the first Cyclones' NYPL All-Star Game MVP Award, going 2-3 with a triple, home run, and three RBI in State College, Pa.
