The Brooklyn Cyclones (24-32, 69-52) continue their final six-game homestand of the regular season against the Hudson Valley Renegades (34-21, 72-47) — the High-A affiliate of the New York Yankees — on Thursday evening at 6:40 p.m. from Maimonides Park on Coney Island in Brooklyn, N.Y.
RHP Noah Hall (5-5, 2.37) is expected to make the start for the Cyclones. The Renegades are projected to counter with the Yankees’ No. 13 prospect per MLB Pipeline, LHP Kyle Carr (7-6, 2.06).

LAST TIME OUT: Brooklyn snatched its 2nd-consecutive victory to open up this week's series against Hudson Valley with an 8-7 win on Wednesday night...The Cyclones scored 6 of their first 8 runs over the course of the first 2 innings, including a 3-run shot from RF John Bay - the first of his High-A career...3B Boston Baro logged 3 hits in the win, while RHP Irving Cota tossed 5.0 innings in his 'Clones debut...RHP Dakota Hawkins and RHP Hoss Brewer (SV) each contributed 2.0 relief innings out of the bullpen...Brooklyn stole 7 bases in the win...The Renegades put the tying run on base in the 9th, but Brewer evaded further trouble en route to his 3rd save.
ROSTER MOVES: The Cyclones placed INF Boston Baro and OF Eli Serrano III on the 7-day injured list on Thursday...Baro was removed from Wednesday's game with an injury after reaching first base safely in the 8th on a dropped third strike...In 103 games this season, the 20-year-old was hitting .224/.282/.321/.603 with 25 extra-base hits, 4 home runs, 38 RBI, and 28 stolen bases...Serrano will endure his second IL stint of the season...The 21-year-old was on the shelf from May 25 until June 7 with an ankle injury...Serrano hit .222/.332/.358/.690 in 88 games with 29 extra-base hits, 7 home runs, 46 RBI, and 9 stolen bags.
THIS DATE IN CYCLONES HISTORY: On August 28, 2001, the Cyclones clinched a playoff berth following a 7-5 win over the Pittsfield Astros...It was the first time that a Brooklyn baseball team made the playoffs since 1956...In that game, Noel Devarez hit the first home run in KeySpan Park history over the center field wall...In 2010, RHP Yohan Almonte tossed the 2nd 9-inning complete game in franchise history...The Cyclones defeated the Connecticut Tigers, 10-0, to clinch the McNamara Division title...In 2013, RHP John Gant tossed a complete game shutout, allowing one hit...He was just the 4th player in franchise history, and 3rd during the regular season, to toss 9.0 innings...The Cyclones won, 1-0...In 2017, Walter Rasquin went 1-for-4 to extend his hitting streak to 10 games...It marked the 3rd time during the 2017 season that he had a 10-plus game hitting streak, becoming the first player in franchise history to accomplish the feat.
