The Brooklyn Cyclones (25-34, 71-54) conclude their final six-game homestand of the regular season against the Hudson Valley Renegades (36-22, 74-48) — the High-A affiliate of the New York Yankees — on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. from Maimonides Park on Coney Island in Brooklyn, N.Y.
RHP Jose Guevara (NR) is expected to make the start for the Cyclones in his High-A debut. The Renegades are projected to counter with the Yankees’ No. 19 prospect per MLB Pipeline, RHP Cade Smith (0-1, 4.15).

THIS DATE IN CYCLONES HISTORY: On August 31, 2004, C Jesús Flores became the second Cyclone to hit a home run in his first at-bat with the club...The 2-run shot came in his only at-bat of the game...In 2008, Jordan Abruzzo hit home runs from both sides of the plate in a game against Hudson Valley, becoming the first player in franchise history to accomplish the feat...In the 4th inning, the switch-hitting catcher hit a home run from the left side of the plate and then connected on a second home run in the 8th inning, this time from the right-hand side of the plate...In 2010, in the second game of a doubleheader against Vermont, Jeff Flagg hit a 3-run homer as the Cyclones walked off in the 7th inning for a 6-4 victory...In 2018, Giovanni D'Onza became the first Cyclones athletic trainer to be ejected in team history while arguing with home plate umpire Dylan Bradley during a mid-inning break against Hudson Valley at then-MCU Park.
