1979: The Yankees sell Ray Burris (1-3) to the Mets.
1982: The Reds play 14 innings and overcome a 5 - 1 Mets lead to win, 7 - 6. Cesar Cedeno singles in the winning run.
2002: In a pregame ceremony, Tommy Agee is inducted posthumously in to the New York Mets Hall of Fame. The center fielder, who played with the team from 1968 to 1972, is best remembered for two his great two catches in Game 3 of the 1969 World Series.
