Brian Joura Mets360: "For the third time in his last five starts, David Peterson came up with a poor outing and this was the worst one yet, as he allowed eight runs in two-plus innings, putting the Mets in a severe hole. And while they managed to tie the game, they ended up on the wrong end of an 11-8 score Saturday afternoon at Citi Field. The Mets have scored 31 runs in the first three games of the series and are somehow 1-2."

NY Post: "A game that seemed to be on the verge of growing into one of the best triumphs of the Mets’ season instead became one of the bigger disappointments. Down 5-0 after the top of the first and 8-2 after the top of the third, the Mets’ powerful offense, led by a monstrous day from Juan Soto, responded in a contest that was tied by the sixth."

Newsday: "Connor Norby’s seventh-inning sacrifice fly off Tyler Rogers gave Miami the go-ahead run, and his ninth-inning double off Edwin Diaz drove in two more insurance runs. The Mets were held scoreless for the final three innings in front of 42,726 at Citi Field."

NY Post: Francisco Alvarez resumes rehab assignment after broken pinkie as push for improbable Mets return continues.  "The young catcher went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in his return to the lineup at DH for Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday, continuing a rehab assignment that had been stalled just three days earlier by a broken pinkie."

NY Daily News: "The Mets will turn to Kodai Senga on Sunday at 1:40 p.m. to secure the series victory. Senga is coming off two rough outings allowing seven earned runs in his last nine innings. Sandy Alcantara will take the ball for Clayton McCullough’s squad."
