The Brooklyn Cyclones (26-39, 72-59) continue their first postseason series since 2022 as they host the Greensboro Grasshoppers (43-23, 88-43) — the High-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates — in Game 2 of the South Atlantic League North Division Finals on Thursday evening at 6:40 p.m. from Maimonides Park on Coney Island in Brooklyn, N.Y.
RHP Joel DÃaz (5-5, 3.80) is expected to make the start for the Cyclones. The Grasshoppers are projected to counter with RHP Hung-Leng Chang (5-7, 4.82).

SAL PLAYOFFS: The Cyclones and Grasshoppers continue the South Atlantic League North Division Finals on Thursday night on Coney Island...Brooklyn clinched its first postseason berth since 2022 by winning the South Atlantic League First Half North Division crown with a 6-4 win at Aberdeen on June 19...The playoff berth is the Cyclones' second since moving to the full-season level, having won the Second Half North Division title in 2022...Greensboro captured the Second Half North Division title with a 4-1 win at Hudson Valley on Sunday...The Grasshoppers finished 2nd in Minor League Baseball in wins (88) and winning percentage (.672), trailing only Detroit's High-A West Michigan...The winner of the best-of-3 series will play the victor of the SAL South Division Series between Bowling Green and Hub City...Game 1 of the SAL Championship Series is scheduled for Sunday, September 14, at the home of the North Division winner...Games 2 and 3 would be played on Tuesday, September 16, and Wednesday, September 17, at the South Division winner.
