The Brooklyn Cyclones (72-59) welcome the Hub City Spartanburgers (65-66) — the High-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers — to Maimonides Park on Coney Island in Brooklyn, N.Y., for Game 1 of the South Atlantic League Championship Series on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.

 

RHP Noah Hall (5-7, 2.72) is expected to make the start for the Cyclones. The Spartanburgers are projected to counter with LHP Dalton Pence (1-3, 1.550

POSTSEASON HISTORY: The Cyclones are playing their second postseason series as a full-season affiliate...Brooklyn previously made the playoffs in 2022 as the South Atlantic League North Division champions in the second half...The Cyclones ultimately fell to the Aberdeen IronBirds in 3 games in the SAL North Division Finals...Prior to Thursday, Brooklyn had not won a postseason series since they defeated the Lowell Spinners to win the New York-Penn League Championship in 2019...The 2019 title was the final in NYPL history and Brooklyn's first outright Minor League title...The Cyclones also shared the 2001 NYPL Championship with the Williamsport Crosscutters in the aftermath of the September 11th attacks...Thursday's Game 2 win vs. Greensboro marked the Cyclones' first-ever home game on September 11.
