PRESS RELEASE – November 6, 2025
ARIZONA FALL LEAGUE ANNOUNCES ROSTERS AND FINAL 2 VOTE FOR
19TH ANNUAL "FALL STARS GAME" ON SUNDAY, NOV. 9 AT SLOAN PARK
Top Minor League Stars Showcased LIVE on MLB Network and Streamed LIVE on MLB App
PHOENIX – The Arizona Fall League has announced the rosters and staff for the 19th annual Arizona Fall League Fall Stars Game set for Sunday, Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. MST (8 p.m. EST) at Sloan Park, the spring training home of the Chicago Cubs.
A combination of scouts, AFL staff, and national baseball reporters selected the players for the annual showcase of baseball's future stars from their respective American and National League organizations. The Fall Stars Game will air LIVE on MLB Network and stream LIVE on MLB.com with Paul Severino (play-by-play), Steven Brault (analyst), and Jonathan Mayo (analyst) on the call.
The American and National League rosters are made up of players from the Mesa Solar Sox (ATH, CHC, MIA, NYY, TB), Salt River Rafters (AZ, BOS, COL, LAA, PIT), Scottsdale Scorpions (DET, HOU, NYM, SF, WSH), Glendale Desert Dogs (ATL, CWS, LAD, STL, TOR), Peoria Javelinas (BAL, CIN, MIN, SD, SEA), and Surprise Saguaros (CLE, KC, MIL, PHI, TEX).
As the managers with the best two records in the first half of the Arizona Fall League season, René Rivera (Scottsdale – DET) and his staff will manage the American League Fall Stars, while Jesús Azuaje (Surprise – KC) and his staff will manage the National League. Under Rivera's guidance, the Scorpions feature the league's top offense and one of its best pitching staffs. Rivera, a former Major League catcher, has managed the Frederick Keys of the MLB Draft League and, in 2025, served as the manager of the Single-A Florida State League Champion Lakeland Tigers.
"It's a great opportunity for myself, doing what I love, and I'm having the chance to be here as a manager with the Tigers and manage this young group of good players," Rivera said regarding the selection. "I'm excited about it. I'm excited for the opportunity and to just spend time a little bit with all those players."
Azuaje brings more than a decade of coaching experience across multiple organizations. In 2025, he guided the High-A Quad Cities River Bandits, the Royals' Midwest League affiliate, to the second-best regular-season record on the circuit.
"I'm really happy and excited to be a part of it," Azuaje said on the recognition. "You know it is going to have a lot of talented players, so I am looking forward to it. Very excited to be with the guys all the way through the end."
Fans will get the chance to select an additional player for each Fall Stars team through "The Fall Stars Final 2 Vote." Braden Montgomery (CWS), Charlie Pagliarini (SEA), and Joshua Kuroda-Grauer (ATH) are the three eligible for the American League, where Patrick Clohisy (ATL), Sam Petersen (WSH), and Cole Mathis (CHC) will be voted on for the National League. Voting is live now, and fans can vote at MLB.com and on the AFL website. Voting will close at 6 p.m. MST/8 p.m. EST on Friday, Nov. 7.
