David joins the franchise with more than two decades of extensive legal experience spanning the private and public sectors
FLUSHING, N.Y., November 25, 2025 – The New York Mets announced today that Kenneth R. David has been appointed as the organization's General Counsel and a member of the executive leadership team. David will join the organization on December 1 and will oversee all aspects of the legal function in support of the Mets Business and Baseball Operations.

His strategic approach, leadership in high-stakes legal matters, and proven capability navigating both the public and private sectors will help the Mets further enhance their operational rigor, foster innovation across departments, and ensure the club is positioned for sustainable success on and off the field.

Throughout his more than 25-year career as an accomplished commercial litigator and legal advisor, David has handled a diverse array of complex matters on behalf of both public and private corporations, individuals, and funds across a wide spectrum of industries. David has received numerous awards and has been recognized by leading legal publications, including The New York Law Journal, Benchmark Litigation, The Legal 500, and Lawdragon.
David joins the Mets organization from his role as a senior partner and member of the Management Committee at the New York law firm of Kasowitz LLP. He received his bachelor's degree, cum laude, from Queens College of the City University of New York and his law degree, with distinction, from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University where he received the Maurice A. Deane Award for finishing first in his class.
