It's no secret.  The Mets need starting pitchers.  It seemed game after game last year that the starting pitchers didn't go even 5 innings.  This resulted in a tremendous work load on the pen which led to ineffectiveness leading to them missing the playoffs on the last day of the 2025 season

In 2025, the Mets had only two pitchers - David Peterson (168.2 innings) and Clay Holmes (165.2 innings) to throw over 150 innings.  Could the Mets bring in Free Agent Left Handed Starting Pitcher, Ranger Suarez?  He is coming off two straight seasons on 150+ innings (150.2 and 157.1 respectively).  Out of his 26 starts last year, he went at least 7 innings 8 times (27%).  He also won the Phillies solo victory against the Dodgers in the 2025 Post Season.
