The Mets went as far as they did in 2024 thanks to Sean Manaea. He won Game 2 of the NLCS to tie the series at 1-1. They failed to reach the World Series because he didn’t record an out in the third inning in Game 6. Mets fans had high hopes for Manaea in 2025. But he was injured in Spring Training, took longer than expected to make it back to the majors and was lousy when he did return.
