FLUSHING, N.Y., January 16, 2026 – The New York Mets today announced that the club has signed 26 international players.

The class is highlighted by Wandy Asigen, a 16-year-old shortstop from Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. The 6 foot, 180-pounder is ranked as the second-best international prospect according to MLB Pipeline's Top 50 International Prospects List.
