PRESS RELEASE: NEW YORK METS PARTNER WITH AUDACY AND SPORTSBUG TO DELIVER REAL-TIME RADIO PLAY-BY-PLAY AT CITI FIELD

NEW YORK METS PARTNER WITH AUDACY AND SPORTSBUG TO DELIVER REAL-TIME RADIO PLAY-BY-PLAY AT CITI FIELD

Audacy's Mets digital radio broadcast available in-stadium with

sub-one-second delay starting Opening Day 2026

FLUSHING, N.Y., March 17, 2026 – The New York Mets, Audacy and SportsBug, today announced an agreement to deliver real-time, no-delay digital radio play-by-play to fans attending games at Citi Field, beginning with the Mets Home Opener on March 26, 2026.

Currently, listening to play-by-play digital audio in stadiums typically comes with delays of 30- to 90-plus seconds, making it nearly impossible to follow a broadcast while watching the game live. SportsBug's technology reduces that delay to under one second.

Through the MLB Ballpark App, fans inside Citi Field can listen to the New York Mets Radio play-by-play broadcast on WHSQ 880 AM, featuring Howie Rose, Keith Raad and Pat McCarthy, in sync with the live action on the field.

The service works on any mobile device, with any wireless carrier, and with any headphones. There is no cost to fans.

SportsBug's platform uses existing professional play-by-play broadcasts and delivers them over standard 4G and 5G wireless networks. It requires no new hardware in the venue and no changes to the existing broadcast infrastructure. The technology integrates directly with the MLB Ballpark App, which is already installed by millions of fans.

"Partnering with SportsBug to bring real-time radio audio to the ballpark will transform how fans connect with the game," said John Ricco, Senior Vice President, Business Operations, New York Mets. "By syncing the atmosphere and energy of watching a game at Citi Field with the iconic voices of Mets Radio on Audacy, we're delivering a more immersive and connected experience to our fans"

"Listening to the radio at the ballpark is as familiar and comfortable as the seventh-inning stretch," said Chris Oliviero, Chief Business Officer and New York Market President, Audacy. "This partnership with the Mets and SportsBug will bring the home team voices fans love right to their seats each and every game."

"We are thrilled to be working with the Mets and Audacy to bring SportsBug's fan engagement real time audio to the fans in Citi Field," said Chuck Bortnick, Chief Operating Officer, SportsBug. "We look forward to helping the New York Mets with their fan experience goals and Audacy in growing their Mets listening audience."

About SportsBug™

SportsBug delivers real-time audio to fans inside sports venues. The company's platform transmits existing professional play-by-play broadcasts to smartphones over 4G and 5G networks with sub-one-second delay. Traditional streaming audio reaches in-stadium fans with delays of 30 seconds to over two minutes, making it impractical to listen while watching live. SportsBug eliminates that gap. The platform requires no venue hardware installation and works with any mobile device and carrier.
