Earlier today, in the Open Thread, Steven asked the following question – Can anyone really make a case for keeping Mark Vientos? And the short answer to that is there’s simply too much there to give up on for pennies on the dollar. Without a doubt, Vientos is a flawed player. You can make an itemized list of the things he’s not terrific doing. But the one thing he’s shown the ability to do is hit. And my opinion is that you don’t give up on guys who can produce in the batter’s box.
