How cool is this? Ethan Cooper is a 2nd grader in So.Calif. A huge Met fan in Dodger territory. I’m flattered of course, but really impressed with his poise and passion. You crushed it, Ethan. You will be in the booth before you know it. Parents Josh and Sara should be proud. pic.twitter.com/ZSPLvHjZTl

Ernest Dove: New York Mets Game Recap 3-14-26
3/14/26 Mets Roster Moves - Lovelady Returns, Hagenman to the IL
Mets Fall to Astros, 8-2:
- 8 months after Draft, Mets' top pick gets 1st spring start (and 1st hit!) (MLB.com) "Voit, the Mets’ No. 8 prospect (per MLB Pipeline), singled in his second at-bat and played seven innings at second base, soaking in every bit of the experience...Voit’s appearance on the lineup card came about after fellow infielder Jackson Cluff was scratched with a stiff neck. When the Mets delivered the news to Voit on Friday evening, he immediately texted his parents, who drove across the state from their home in Naples, Fla."
- Carson Benge keeps displaying what Mets like in spring games with ‘tough decisions’ ahead (NYP) "What the Mets like about Carson Benge — his bat-to-ball ability, solid defense in multiple outfield positions, and overall athleticism— was on display again Saturday, as the young prospect got his second start of the spring in center field and added a hard-hit, opposite-field single in an 8-2 loss to the Astros at Ballpark of the Palm Beaches."
