Here are the Brooklyn Cyclone Game Notes for today's game.

The Brooklyn Cyclones (0-3, 0-3) continue their first road series of the season against the Jersey Shore BlueClaws (2-1, 12-1) — the High-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies — on Wednesday evening at 6:35 p.m. from ShoreTown Ballpark in Lakewood, N.J.
RHP Jonathan Jiménez (NR) is expected to make his Cyclones debut for Brooklyn. Jersey Shore is scheduled to counter with the Phillies’ No. 27 prospect per MLB Pipeline, LHP Mavis Graves (NR).

Live coverage on the Cyclones Radio Network, Bally Sports Live, and MiLB.tv will begin at 6:20 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT: The Cyclones fell to 0-3 on Tuesday night, dropping the series opener in Jersey Shore, 5-1...Joel Díaz struggled in his first start of the season...Díaz allowed 3 runs on 5 hits and a career-high-tying 5  walks over 3.1 innings...Díaz did add 5 strikeouts...The Brooklyn offense was held to just 4 singles on the night...Vincent Perozo and Daiverson Gutiérrez both reached base twice for the Cyclones, with both hitters recording a single and a walk... The 'Clones lone run scored on an RBI fielder's choice from Diego Mosquera.


RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY: The Cyclones endured their first postponement of the season on Sunday against Hudson Valley, with the game being called due to inclement weather...The 'Clones and 'Gades will make up the contest with a doubleheader on Thursday, May 21, at 5 p.m....Brooklyn experienced just one postponement in April of last season - coincidentally, also against Hudson Valley, on April 11.


LOCK IT DOWN: Despite the 0-3 start to the season, the 'Clones bullpen has been impressive...Through the first 3 games, Cyclones relievers have allowed just 4 earned runs through 14.2 innings of work (2.45 ERA)...Brooklyn relievers have also racked up an impressive 20 strikeouts through the team's first 3 games... Irving Cota made his 2026 season debut on Tuesday night, pitching 3.2 shutout innings out of the 'pen...Cota allowed just 2 hits and a walk while striking out 3 batters.


BEST OF BOTH WORLDS: RHP Jonathan Jiménez will take the mound on Wednesday in his Cyclones debut... The Venezuelan pitcher found success as both a starter and as a reliever in 2025, finishing the season with a 3.47 ERA over 59.2 innings between St. Lucie and the Florida Complex League...Jimenez appeared in 19 games while making 13 starts... Working predominantly as a starter for St. Lucie, Jimenez pitched to a 3.00 ERA over 24.0 innings following his promotion in July...At 21 years and one month old, he is the youngest pitcher on Brooklyn's staff.
