The Brooklyn Cyclones (8-26, 8-26) continue their six-game series against the Rome Emperors (20-15, 20-15) — the High-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves — on Thursday evening at 6:45 p.m. ET from AdventHealth Stadium in Rome, Ga.
Prospect Lefferts Gardens native RHP Channing Austin (0-1, 1.69) is expected to make the start for the Cyclones. The Emperors are scheduled to counter with RHP Jeremy Reyes (1-3, 4.73).

LAST TIME OUT: The Cyclones dropped their fifth-straight game on Wednesday, falling 4-2 at Rome...The Emperors scored all of their runs in the 1st, recording five hits, two walks, and a sacrifice fly...All four runs were charged to RHP Cristofer Gomez, who only recorded two outs serving as the opener...SS Mitch Voit drove in a pair of runs...Voit had to settle for a sacrifice fly in the 3rd when LF Eric Hartman robbed what would have been a game-tying three-run home run...The Cyclones' infielder responded with a solo shot in the 5th for his fourth home run of the season....Brooklyn's only other run came on an RBI single in the 3rd from OF Sam Biller...RHP Jonathan Jiménez had his best outing of the season in the loss...The Venezuela native threw a season-high 5.0 innings, pitching in bulk, and picked up his first scoreless outing of the season...RHPs Dakota Hawkins (0.1 IP), Parker Carlson (1.0), and Garrett Stratton (1.0) finished off the 7.1-inning scoreless outing by the Brooklyn bullpen...The Cyclones struck out 16 times in the contest and have now struck out 10+ times in five of their last six games and seven of their last nine.
