All-Star Lineups Take the Field
for Saturday’s Hall of Fame Military Classic

--  Tickets for Saturday’s Legends Game Available at Doubleday Field --

(COOPERSTOWN, NY) They starred on the diamond for parts of the last six decades, creating an unmatched legacy on the field.
 
On Saturday, 24 former stars will step onto Cooperstown’s Doubleday Field to honor those whose service made their careers possible.
 
The Hall of Fame Military Classic Presented by New Era will feature seven Hall of Fame managers and coaches leading All-Stars, award winners and World Series champions in a seven-inning legends game at the home of baseball. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m., preceded by the Home Run Derby at noon.
 
Tickets for the Hall of Fame Military Classic: A Tribute to Service and Sacrifice will be on sale on Saturday at the Will Call tent at Doubleday Field, including the Family, Food and Fun package that features a $10 food voucher with the purchase of every $18 outfield ticket to the game.

The family-fun activities begin when gates open at 11 a.m., and the pregame home run hitting contest will begin at noon, followed by the 1 p.m. game. Activities will include a bounce house/slide, balloon artists, face painting, food and beverage options from local food trucks and music and giveaways, including a free 24-page commemorative program magazine. Children 12-and-under can Race Around the Bases following the game.
 
American flags will be given to the first 2,500 fans in attendance. The pregame colors will be presented by Cooperstown American Legion Post 579, and also on display will be banners from the Bob Feller Act of Valor Foundation honoring Hall of Famers who served during World War II.
 
Award-winning announcer Gary Thorne, who served with the U.S. Army’s Judge Advocate General Corps in the 1970s, will lend his voice to the day as the public address announcer. Thorne served as the emcee of the annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on eight occasions.

 
MLB Network shows MLB Now and Intentional Talk will present live broadcasts on Friday, May 22, from Cooperstown, with MLB Now broadcasting live from the Hall of Fame’s Plaque Gallery from 12-1 p.m. and Intentional Talk from Doubleday Field from 5-6 p.m.
