Mets: Topped the Padres, 2-1, in the first game of their three-game series...Won their fourth consecutive game and improved to 10-3 over their last 13...It is the best record in the majors during that span and it is their best stretch since they posted the same record from May 31 - June 13, 2025...Their bullpen combined to throw 3.0 scoreless innings...Over their last 13 games, their relievers have pitched to a 2.60 ERA which is the fourth-best mark in the majors...Have won at least three consecutive one-run games for the first time since they won five straight one-run games from May 17-23, 2023...Per Elias...Improved to 14-20 in one-run games this season.

• The Mets recorded three outfield assists for the 13th time in franchise history...Is the first time they did so since Mark Canha had three outfield assists on July 23, 2023 at Boston.

Nolan McLean (6.0 IP, 6 H, ER, 4 BB, 3 K, HBP): Earned his ninth win of the season after tossing 6.0 innings and allowing one run...Has completed at least 6.0 innings in 10 of his last 11 starts and he has allowed two or fewer runs in 12 of his last 14 starts...Over his last 14 starts dating back to May 31, he has pitched to a 2.55 ERA (23 ER/81.1 IP) and recorded 87 strikeouts...His ERA is the sixth-best in the NL over that span.

Daniel Duarte (1.0 IP, 2 K): Threw a scoreless ninth inning and picked up his second save of the season...14 of his 15 appearances this season have been scoreless and he has pitched to a 0.89 ERA (2 ER/20.1 IP) with 17 strikeouts.

Carson Benge (1-3): Threw out two runners at home plate in the first inning...He is the first Met with multiple outfield assists in the same inning since Jeff McNeil had two in the fifth inning on September 20, 2023 vs. Miami and is the first Mets outfielder to ever have two assists to the catcher in one inning...He became just the fourth outfielder in the last 30 seasons to record a solo outfield assist at home plate on consecutive opposing batters (also: Rocco Baldelli 8/12/04, Gary Sheffield 4/25/01 and Brian Hunter 5/18/98)...Per Sarah Langs...His nine outfield assists this season are the fourth-most in the majors and are tied for the fifth-most by a rookie in franchise history.

• His two outfield assisted were clocked at 99.9 MPH and 103.9 MPH...He is the first player with two 99+ MPH outfield assist in the same inning in the Statcast Era (Since 2015) and just the second player with two in the same game (also: Bradley Zimmer 6/18/17)...Per Sarah Langs...His second assist is the third-fastest outfield assist in the Statcast Era only trailing Aaron Hicks 105.5 MPH assist on April 20, 2016 and Brett Phillips 104.0 MPH assist on September 13, 2017...It is the fastest outfield assist since 2017...Benge is the only player with multiple outfield assists of 100.0+ MPH this season and he owns five of the 12 fastest outfield assists this season.

Bo Bichette (1-3, RBI): Gave the Mets' a 1-0 lead with an RBI single in the first inning...Marked his 500th career RBI...He is 71st active player to reach the milestone...Has hit safely in seven of his last eight games...Over 15 games in August he is batting .345 (20-58) with 10 RBI and an .940 OPS...In the month he ranks tied for second in hits and fourth in batting average among NL qualifiers.
