PRESS RELEASE: NEW YORK METS ANNOUNCE NEW SEASON OF ORIGINAL CONTENT SERIES “ON THE ROAD”

The latest installment in the Mets original content lineup showcases the people, preparation and dedication required to navigate road games.

FLUSHING, N.Y., June 4, 2026 – The New York Mets announced today the return of the original content series “On the Road” for a second season. The multi-episode series will once again provide fans with unprecedented access behind the clubhouse doors, capturing the unseen work that goes into traveling as a Major League Baseball team. All episodes, shot and produced by the New York Mets Content team, will premiere exclusively on the Mets YouTube channel.

“Our storytelling efforts have become an important part of how we connect fans with the team beyond the game itself,” said Mets Vice President of Creative Content Bobby Clemens. “On the Road allows us to continue sharing those stories in an authentic way, giving fans a more complete understanding of what it takes to compete at this level.”

The “On the Road” series gives fans an all-access look at the unseen hustle that takes place behind the scenes to keep the club moving throughout the season. From players navigating the grind of a 162-game season with early mornings, late-night arrivals and constant movement, to staff members managing logistics, equipment, preparation and recovery, the series highlights the unique moments of a Major League Baseball team. The first episode of “On the Road” premieres today, June 4.

Fans can also look ahead to the July premiere of a new Mets Original exploring the next generation of baseball talent and the scouts dedicated to discovering it, offering a unique look at the player evaluation and scouting process.

The new season of “On the Road” continues the Mets commitment to premium storytelling and providing fans with a taste of what life is like beyond the field for players and staff. Since launching a dedicated focus on off-field storytelling moments in 2025, the club has debuted a wide range of original programming with projects including “The Pursuit”, “11 Days in September”, presented by the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, “Inside the Diamond”, and the inaugural season of “On the Road”.
