Mets: Took the opening game of their three-game set with the Braves, 14-3...Have won consecutive games for the first time since July 8-9...Improved to 4-4 after the All-Star break...Recorded a season-high-tying 19 hits (also: 5/18 at WSH)...Marks the first time since July 14, 2017 that they have recorded as many hits at home...Their 14 runs scored were their second-most in a game this season and their most scored at Citi Field since August 29, 2025 vs. Miami...Hit at least four home runs for the third time this season (last: 6/24 vs. CHC (G2))...Have won each of their last three games against the Braves and improve to 5-3 against Atlanta this season...At least five Mets recorded three or more hits in a game for the eighth time in franchise history (last: 8/22/25 vs. ATL).

Zac Thornton (6.1 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, BB, 5 K, HR): Earned his second win after tossing 6.1 innings and allowing three runs while striking out five...He has completed at least 6.0 innings in each of his last four starts...He joins Nolan McLean as the only other pitcher to accomplish the feat...Has completed 6.0 innings and allowed three or fewer runs in each of his last four starts...He is one of eight pitchers in franchise history to do so in at least four of their first five career starts.

  • Has pitched to a 2.43 ERA (8 ER/29.2 IP) over his first five career starts...Is the seventh-best in franchise history through a pitchers first five career starts and is the third-best mark by a left-hander. 
  • Had his 18.0 inning scoreless streak snapped in the first inning...Is one of 11 Mets rookie starting pitchers with a scoreless streak as long.

Tyrone Taylor (3-5, HR, 3 RBI, 3 R): Singled in the sixth and eight innings and launched a three-run homer to left field in the seventh inning...Since being activated off of the Injured list, has slashed .410/.477/.974 (16-39) with six home runs, four doubles and a 1.451 OPS...His OPS is the highest in the majors over that span (min. 35 PA)...His six home runs since July 4 are his most over any 15-game span in his career.

Francisco Lindor (3-5, 2 HR, 3B, 6 RBI, 2 R, BB): Launched a game-tying RBI triple to right field in the first inning to even the score at 1-1...Marked his fourth triple of the season and it is the first time he's tripled at least four times in a season since he recorded a career-high five triples in 2022...Blasted a two-run homer to left field in the third inning to put the Mets in front 3-1...Added another three-run homer to left field in the eighth inning...Recorded his first multi-homer game of the season and his first since August 15, 2025 vs. Seattle...Marked his fourth career game with at least six RBI and his first since he had seven RBI on April 14, 2023 at Oakland...He is the fifth player in franchise history to record two home runs and a triple in the same game (last: Carlos Delgado 8/17/06 at PHI). 

  • Recorded his 148th and 149th home run as a Met...Moved him into a tie with Carlos Beltran for the seventh-most home runs in franchise history. 
  • He now has 468 RBI as a Met, which moves him past Brandon Nimmo and into a tie with Keith Hernandez for the 11th-most RBI in team history. 
  • Over his last 11 games dating back to July 12 he is slashing .318/.400/.705 (14-44) with four home runs, one triple, three doubles, 13 RBI and an 1.105 OPS.

A.J. Ewing (3-5, 2 R, SB): Singled in the first, third and sixth innings...Marks his seventh multi-hit game this month and three of those performances have come over his last eight games...His 65 hits are the third-most by an NL rookie since his call up on May 12.

Francisco Alvarez (1-2, R, 3 BB): Singled in the third and drew three walks...Marked the first time in his career that he has drawn at least three walks in a game...He has reached base safely in each of his last eight games dating back to July 11...Over that span he is slashing .391/.563/.783 (9-23) with an 1.346 OPS.

Marcus Semien (3-4, HR, 2 RBI, 3 R, BB): Singled in the second and eighth innings, and launched a go-ahead two-run homer in the sixth inning...Has homered in back-to-back games for the third time this season...Has collected five RBI over his last two games and it is the first time he has driven in at least five over two games since a two-game span from July 9-10, 2025 with Texas
