Press Release: Experience History at the Museum During Hall of Fame Weekend 2026, July 24-27

 (COOPERSTOWN, NY) – The newest members of baseball’s greatest team are set to be inducted as the Class of 2026 this weekend. But even as the game of today focuses on Cooperstown, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum salutes the National Pastime’s incredible history with new and exciting exhibits.

Carlos Beltrán, Andruw Jones and Jeff Kent will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Sunday, July 26, adding their names to the list of icons featured in bronze in the Plaque Gallery. The Museum includes more than 60,000 square feet of state-of-the-art exhibits, including the 2026 Inductees Exhibit that celebrates the newest electees with many artifacts that have never before been on display in Cooperstown. The exhibit is now open on the Museum’s second floor adjacent to the Grandstand Theater and features oversized baseball card graphics and videos along with photos and one-of-a-kind artifacts.

From the oak-lined walls of the Plaque Gallery to the new exhibits featuring Tom Seaver’s collection and the American flag rescued by Rick Monday in 1976, the Museum captures the history of baseball and preserves the timeless story of our National Pastime.

The highlight of the July 24-27 Induction Weekend in Cooperstown is the Induction Ceremony, which takes place at 1:30 p.m. on July 26 on the grounds of the Clark Sports Center, one mile south of the Hall of Fame on Susquehanna Avenue. Admission to the Induction Ceremony is free.

The Museum is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily through the day before Labor Day, with special hours during Saturday and Sunday of Hall of Fame Weekend: Saturday, July 25: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Plaque Gallery closes at 4:30 p.m.) Sunday, July 26: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

As always, Hall of Fame Members receive free admission. Participants in the Museum’s Membership Program will have access to the Museum beginning at 8 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday of Hall of Fame Weekend. After the plaques of the members of the Class of 2026 are installed during Hall of Fame Weekend, they will be temporarily removed during the following weeks to travel to events celebrating the newest Hall of Famers. Fans planning visits to Cooperstown during these times should be advised that the actual bronze plaques will be removed from display during the times listed below. A photographic image of each plaque will be featured in the space, featuring a full replication of the plaque, while the actual plaques are traveling.

Removed from display: Wednesday, July 29
Special event: At Truist Park in Atlanta, Thursday, July 30
Returning to display: Friday, July 31 by 4 p.m.

Jeff Kent plaque:
Removed from display: Thursday, Aug. 27
Special events: At Oracle Park in San Francisco, Saturday, Aug. 29
Returning to display: Monday, Aug. 31 by 9 a.m.

Carlos Beltrán plaque:
Removed from display: Friday, Sept. 18
Special event: At Citi Field in New York, Saturday, Sept. 19
• Returning to display: Monday, Sept. 21 by 9 a.m.

The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum is open seven days a week year round, with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. From the day before Memorial Day through the day before Labor Day, the Museum observes daily regular hours of 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Ticket prices are $35 for adults (13 and over), $29 for seniors (65 and over) and $26 for juniors (ages 7-12) and $25 for those holding current memberships in the VFW, Disabled American Veterans, American Legion and AMVets organizations.
