The New York Mets have announced that they have claimed INF Gabriel Arias off waivers from Cleveland. The 26 year old has played every position but catcher in his 5 year MLB career with the majority at SS (187 games).
The Mets will likely make an additional roster move to include him on the MLB Roster or place him on Waivers again to move him to the Minor Leagues.
