Latest installment in the Mets growing lineup of original programming offers unprecedented access inside the club's amateur scouting operation
FLUSHING, N.Y., September 23, 2026 – The New York Mets today announced the upcoming premiere of “Searching for Tomorrow,” a new original documentary, which will debut exclusively on the Mets YouTube channel tomorrow, September 24, exploring the next generation of baseball talent and the scouts dedicated to discovering them. Offering rare behind-the-scenes access to the Mets amateur scouting operation, the film takes fans inside the player evaluation process and the work that goes into identifying talent that could help shape the future of the franchise. “Searching for Tomorrow” was shot and produced by the New York Mets Content team.
“Searching for Tomorrow gives fans a unique opportunity to experience one of the most important and often unseen parts of building a baseball team and an exciting glimpse at the future of our franchise,” said Bobby Clemens, Vice President of Creative Content. “Our scouts spend countless hours traveling the country, evaluating players and searching for the talent that will shape the future of this organization. This documentary captures not only the process, but also the passion, relationships and dedication behind that work, while continuing our commitment to telling meaningful stories that extend beyond the game itself."
The new documentary builds on the Mets commitment to premium storytelling, giving fans a richer, more personal look at the people, moments and journeys that shape the organization beyond the field. Since expanding a dedicated focus on off-field storytelling in 2025, the New York Mets Content team has introduced a dynamic slate of original programming, including “The Pursuit,” “11 Days in September” presented by Tunnel to Towers Foundation, “Inside the Diamond” and two seasons of “On the Road.”
The New York Mets Content team is the club’s in-house creative storytelling group, producing original video, digital and in-ballpark content that immerses fans into all things Mets baseball. Through premium series, documentaries, game presentation, social-first storytelling and brand campaigns, the team captures the moments and narratives that define the Mets experience on and off the field. The New York Mets Content team has earned industry recognition for its creative work, including eight New York Emmy wins across 2023 through 2025 and 16 Clios Awards.
